It is through daily moments while feeding the animals in the barn, digging potatoes, or walking the woods that I explore curiosity, and find connection and community within the human and more-than-human world.
The natural world is full of conversations. The wind shows itself through relationships, seen in the way it turns the grasses and clouds. These conversations, these relationships, are what I try to listen for; where we are connected in nature, what we can learn, what illuminates our human lives and struggles, and how we can better contribute to the wellbeing of our world. Listening for and querying these engagements builds my connection with nature, expands my sense of belonging, and offers needed solace.
